Best Friends!

Today, our Precious Godzilla has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Our lives & our rescue will be forever changed because of knowing Godzilla. We have been influenced by this precious boy, in words that are so hard to try and even explain. I can say that Godzilla is one of the reasons our rescue was formed, he was the actual inspiration to Shirley, Pooch Heaven's Founder to start this rescue group. Godzilla is the first Pooch Heaven doggie that was ever added to our site. He is missed by everyone at Pooch Heaven, he meant the world to us. We will think of him always and whenever anyone of else question the work we do for rescue and at times, as we all know can be overwhelming and sometimes we wonder if we are truly making a difference and we will remember and think of Godzilla and how Shirley saved him and how he became part of us each and everyday. We will think of Godzilla, his story and most of all his smile whenever we are in doubt and remember him. And how he got to start his life over with us and be part of a family, our family. By keeping his memory alive we will know that what we are doing is helping and that we are making a difference one doggie at a time, because of knowing Godzilla, we are Pooch Heaven,

At the beginning of your life you were mistreated & full of fear
You were given to us, passed by them without any shame
Those people who had you are the ones we blame

We took you in, you touched our lives
You came to us full of pain but each day went by,
And you realized that trust we gain

Human touch and full of praise
You blossomed; my boy and we will never be the same

You filled our hearts and bounced through our lives
for almost nine years,
and left in a wake a void so vast
it will only be filled with our tears.

With dignity, strength and devotion to spare
You lived your life to the fullest
You and Bella, oh, what a pair
Your absolute favorite time of the day
was anytime she was near

But the ache will remain for a while, at least,
for the faithful friend that we've lost;
He who won love of all that he met,
and returned it at never a cost.

We know that we'll come to a time in our lives
when only good memories remain,
when we'll think of his pranks, his kisses, those eyes,
and our smiles will outweigh this pain.

Sleep in peace, Love Pooch Heaven.
